Cate Blanchett’s fame started in the early 1990’s when she graduated from Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art and joined the Sydney Theatre Company where she won the Newcomer and the Rosemont Best Actress awards. Within in a little over one year she won critical and popular acclaim. After doing some television roles, Blanchett debuted in the movie Paradise Road, followed by Elizabeth, for which she won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a drama film. Some other films that Blanchett has appeared in include Bandits, The Shipping News, Charlotte Gray, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Aviator, Babel, Little Fish and I'm Not There among many others. Cate is pregnant with her third child and will be appearing in some new films like the Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button coming soon.
